Answer for (iii):
how to find coordinates of N? Part (iii) of the above question??
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny2coool,
ReplyDeletePlease see solution above.
Cheers
i did not understood anything please help me in an easier way
ReplyDeleteiii) doesn't makes sense, can you explain what formula you use, or provide a step by step guide with statements cause it seems to be lum into a single equation
ReplyDeleteWhat the above solution is showing us how much change in x and y when Q is moved towards M, then multiplied by 5/3 is due to the ratio of QM: MN. There is a +3 in the working for y coordinates and 3 at the front for x coordinates since we are taking reference from point M which has coordinates (3,3)
ReplyDeleteAn step by step solution will be breaking the working down.
1) Find the change in x and y when moved from Q to M
2) Then the change in x and y when moved from M to S will be 5/3 times according to the question
3) Then do the changes in x and y from pt M (2) to get coordinates of N.
The question is a bit confusing since it should state that N is along the extrapolated line of QS and not on the line QS itself. Can see that N is actually above pt S.
sry my mistake
ReplyDelete(2)..... should be moved from M to N will be 5/3, not S,haha
How do you find Q and S?
ReplyDeleteWithout using trig
